a pocketful of mumbles

i think my page layout should be fixed now. sorry to all of you who use internet explorer, it was looking pretty messed up to you guys for awhile.

i just got done with my e-science test. it went ok. somehow our teacher always manages to write tests that throw me for a loop and aren't what i expect at all. i just don't take his tests very well. but i felt like i actually knew my stuff this time, so hopefully i did well. i was able to at least pretend that i knew what i was doing on all the problems...

school is winding down (in theory). the problem with dead week for me is not that everything is due, it's that i've got a couple extra things to do, but still the regular homework load. i only have one class where the regular homework isn't due. that leaves three assignments, each taking around 3 to 4 hours to do, if i'm focused. that's where all my time goes, and i'm not sure where i'm going to magically produce more time to do projects and study for my finals this week, but i'm sure it will happen. it always does somehow.

summer begins in about 13 days. so far, it's looking like:
may: home
june: china
july: norman, taking classes or maybe working, depending on if i can find a second class to take
august: 2 weeks in colorado/grand canyon with the fam, then home for a bit, then back to norman

crazy how when you break it into sections like that, it seems so short.

one last thing. i know i'm a nerd, but i found this really funny. especially the fact that they actually tried to submit some of the papers to a conference. i think MIT people are a lot more interesting than i've ever given them credit for...
